Key Dates for the 2025 Spring Season
- December 31, 2024: Returning player and sibling registration closes
- January 3, 2025: New player registration opens
- January 29, 2025: Spring registration closes
The following are TENTATIVE dates for our Spring season
- April 1, 2025: Teams can first gather for non-practice get togethers
- Around April 14, 2025: Once fields are approved for use by the Chicago Park District, teams may practice
- April 25-27, 2025: Opening weekend for baseball and softball other than Rookie baseball
- May 3-4, 2025: Opening weekend for Rookie baseball
- May 24-25, 2025: Memorial Day weekend, no games
- June 21, 2025: Rookie Jamboree at Welles Park
- June 22, 2025: last day of the house regular season
- June 23, 2025: Playoffs start for baseball and softball (other than Rookie)
- July 5-6, 2025: July 4th weekend, no games
- Week of July 7, 2025: Championship week; all championship games for baseball and softball playoffs
- July 12, 2025: End of year Celebration at Welles Park
WPPA Board Meetings
All parents that enroll a player in the program become members of the Welles Park Parents Association. A board that consists of officers approved per our by-laws make the operating decisions for the league. A schedule of the planned board meetings is below. Any special or emergency board meetings will be posted here with 3 days notice. All board meetings open to the community will be posted.
